The Library of Death Catalogue is a community lending library featuring over 200 items exploring all facets of death & dying — from practical guides to picture books, DIY deathcare zines to philosophical texts, comedic films to swan song albums, and everything in-between.

Anyone in the Victoria region is welcome to borrow, contribute, or lend out materials. Holds can be placed online, and picked up at Green Muse (2612 Quadra St) or Cavity (2514 Douglas St) during their business hours.

Please let us know if you are interested in becoming a patron or volunteer, or would like to curate a library shelf of your own.

Our goal is to make death literacy more accessible, whether that be through collecting and sharing resources directly, or cataloguing materials that are otherwise difficult to find in our region. Links to copies from other libraries and collections (such as GVPL, Libby, and Hoopla) are included where available.

We also offer digital resource collections through Are.na.
